Leaving on a jet plane…

I leave tomorrow for FA training!

I just got mostly finished packing! Did pretty good. One suitcase and one carry on (my purse) for four weeks! I’m sooooo happy and nervous and anxious and excited. I might vomit but that’s okay right!

Oh dear…

(also for those lovely people that have read my blog for awhile now I made a mini one for all of my Flight Attendant posts)

Why You Wanna

Jana Kramer

Don’t know what
You were thinkin’
You were doing
Moving in for a hug
Like you don’t know I’m coming unglued

Don’t like the cheesy video but the song is ugh, the song is my life.
Why you wanna make me keep wanting you?

Ingrid Michaelson - Somebody That I Used To Know (Gotye cover) (via sequinsandsideeye)

Been jammin’ to this tune for a while and I’m still not over it. I love the original, but how Ingrid sings have your friends collect your records & change your number just slays me.

flight attendant:

I am beginning to believe
you are in this because you
enjoy the take-offs and the
landings. I cannot imagine it
to be for the exotic locales
that you are in this industry,
no. it is that lurch in a body’s
center. that last attempt on
the part of gravity to ground
before the atmosphere opens
its arms.

it is the smiles, the squeezing
of hands, the pouring of drinks,
the reassurances,
“You’re safe here.”

bearsheriff asked: are you done with training? how was it?

I haven’t actually started training. That’s at the end of this month! I have my study material and am learning all the things I need to know before I get to training!

I leave in 10 days! :) :O so soon! :)

"I beg young people to travel. If you don’t have a passport, get one. Take a summer, get a backpack and go to Delhi, go to Saigon, go to Bangkok, go to Kenya. Have your mind blown. Eat interesting food. Dig some interesting people. Have an adventure. Be careful. Come back and you’re going to see your country differently, you’re going to see your president differently, no matter who it is. Music, culture, food, water. Your showers will become shorter. You’re going to get a sense of what globalization looks like. It’s not what Tom Friedman writes about; I’m sorry. You’re going to see that global climate change is very real. And that for some people, their day consists of walking 12 miles for four buckets of water. And so there are lessons that you can’t get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight. A lot of people—Americans and Europeans—come back and go, ohhhhh. And the light bulb goes on."

Getting ready to fly out…

To Seattle for the day.

There and back again. :)

Now that we’ve established to the world that Joss is Boss, can we go back in time and un-cancel his shows?
